Over the last few years, African writers have found something larger than ‘a room of one’s own’ – Virginia Woolf’s exhortation of what the writer needs to practice his/her art – in a larger space shared between alike types from across the continent. Normally held for a week, in some corner of Africa, the continental creative workshop, hosted by different institutions, has become a fixture in the African contemporary Lit and Cultural calendar.
