Farafina Online Writers’ Workshop
Written by Kwani · October 19, 2007
Farafina Online Magazine is introducing a Writers Workshop. This workshop, a part of our “Read Africa!” Literacy Campaign, will provide a solid foundation in the fundamentals of grammar, composition, characterization, narrative, etc. Through continuous, repeated exposure to the process of writing, participants will gather the neccesary skills and techniques to make their writing more effective and compelling.
The workshop is an avenue to get tutored by experienced and accomplished writers through close reading and various interactive sessions. Participants are guided through all the stages of the writing process.
Participants will be grouped into stages based on proficiency and also divided into activity groups within the workshop. Users can also create their own networks within the wider network of the workshop and have selected peers view their work.
Features of the workshop also include writing competitions, article ratings, writers/agent/publisher social networking etc. All In all, it promises to be an interesting and productive forum.
The workshop is TOTALLY FREE for all participants. Intending participants are encouraged to post in their writings and ideas. To join please fill the online form at www.farafinamagazine.com/workshopform.php or send your details (Full Name, Occupation, Email Address, City & Country of residence) to workshop@farafinamagazine.com.
